The implementation of the EVA4.0 project started with a three-day kick-off meeting in Prague, where the leaders of individual subprograms from abroad and from the Czech Republic met. The main objective of the negotiations was to establish cooperation with foreign experts, to set up the processes of project implementation, the main directions of the research and to discuss the timetable of activities. On the first and the last day the individual meeting of the leading members of the individual sub-programs took place, attended by the dean of the faculty or vice-dean for development and operational programs. The main part of the program took place on Tuesday, when each of the sub-projects was presented to the whole team and the opportunities for their interconnection were discussed. Within the commented tour, foreign experts were acquainted with the premises of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, especially with the Wood Pavilion and the new laboratories. The program ended with an informal dinner at Letenský chateau.
The Advanced research supporting the forestry and wood-processing sector´s adaptation to global change and the 4th industrial revolution (abbreviated EVA4.0) will be realized for the following 5 years, coordinated by Dean of the faculty prof. Marek Turčáni. The aim of the project, co-financed by the Operational Program Research, Development and Education, is to build a Center for Excellence Research.
The next meeting in this composition will take place in June 2018.
