Thermo Fisher High Performance Liquid Chromatograph coupled with Photodiode Array Detector (HPLC-PDA) and Refractive Index Detector (HPLC-RID)

HPLC-PDA makes it possible to determine the substance according to the retention time and spectral properties of the compound with subsequent comparison with a standard. In the absence of a standard, the compound (corresponding to the chromatographic peak and specific retention time) can be isolated and collected by a fraction collector for further analysis. In the laboratory, we use developed methods for the determination of phenolic substances and ergosterol in plant materials. HPLC-RID allows determination of sugar concentration in samples based on refractive index, with preliminary separation and comparison with a standard.
