VUX-SYS Riegl ULS drone

An unmanned system consisting of an eight-propeller RiCOPTER platform and a VUX-1UAV laser scanner reaching a take-off weight of 25 kg. The onboard laser scanner achieves an accuracy of 5 mm and correctness of 10 mm of registering points from a height of up to 980 m above the ground with a total frequency of 550 kHz and a distribution of 200 to 200 points per second. This system is mainly used to collect 3D data at the level of tens of hectares. The given parameters of the sensor make it possible to detect changes at the level of individual tree components within the growing season.
