The Czech-Moravian Hunting Union, in cooperation with our Faculty, organized the FACE (European Federation for Hunting and Conservation) international conference in the CZU Assembly Hall on the topic „Large carnivores, Delivering FACE‘s strategic goals for 2027“. Dr. Miloš Ježek from the Department of Game Management and Wildlife Biology had a presentation on the topic of the wolf. Part of the accompanying programme of the conference was also a tour of the Hightech Pavilion of the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences (FLD) of the CZU in Prague. The participants were shown around modern laboratories serving teaching and research in the field of game management and taxidermy. They visited a plastination laboratory, a laboratory with CT scanning equipment, and an ergonomics laboratory with a digital shooting range. The discussion at the end of the tour, which was also attended by the FLD Dean, Professor Róbert Marušák, showed the great interest of the conference participants in modern technologies in the field of wildlife management and environmental care.
