The programme is prepared in accordance with the accredited programmes of the Institute of Education and Communication and is designed as multidisciplinary. It aims at a comprehensive education of seniors in a broad context. The lecture series in each course will include topics from psychology, pedagogy, environmental education, education for sustainable development, effective learning, healthy lifestyle, and seniors' rights. Within these, economic, political, social news and current global issues will also be presented. Seniors will be guided to manage everyday problems, stressful situations, orientation in their rights, and develop communication skills. Emphasis is placed on deepening intergenerational dialogue, especially through the participation of young professionals in teaching. In its programmes, the Institute of Education and Communication has been trying, in the long term, to lead seniors to spend their leisure time to the full by offering topics that lead to the enrichment of seniors' lives, their inner harmony and that are adapted to their interests, needs and possibilities.
