On 24 September, the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the FLD Lesovna took place, officially marking the start of construction of a modern timber building that will provide facilities for our Faculty students in the future.
It was designed by Jan Mach and his team from Mjölk Architects.
A big thank you goes to all the partners who supported the project financially and with donated timber – including Uniles, Hradec Králové Municipality Forests, Colloredo-Mannsfeld, Lesní družstvo Vysoké Chvojno, Hradecká lesní a dřevařská společnost, Karlovy Vary spa forests, Forests of the Czech Republic, Kašperskohorské městské lesy, Archbishop forests and estates Olomouc, Diecézní lesy Hradec Králové, AP Lesnická, Statotest, Wood & Paper, Městské lesy Doksy, Labe Wood, CZU Forests, Forests of the City of Prague, and Filip Sternberg. The official handover of the new building is scheduled for mid-2026.
