On November 14, a memorial to Prof. Ing. Dr. Karel Matyáš, an important figure in Czech forestry, Dean Emeritus, and long-time teacher at our Faculty, was officially unveiled in the CZU forests. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Faculty, the University, CZU Forests, as well as former colleagues and students. The new memorial will serve as a permanent reminder of the professional and personal legacy of Professor Matyáš, who devoted his entire professional life to forestry and the education of generations of foresters. By unveiling the memorial, the Faculty symbolically expressed its respect and gratitude for his contribution to Czech forestry and the academic community.
