On Friday, 4 October 2025, the popular running race "You Can't Outrun the Dean – The Forestry 15" took place in the beautiful setting of the CZU Forest Administration in Jevany.
The event was co-organized by CZU Forests, which provided facilities and allowed the race routes to run through the picturesque university forests – an ideal place for both athletic performance and an autumn nature experience.
Approximately 100 runners lined up at the start, choosing between a 15-kilometer and a 7-kilometer course. There were also children’s categories, ensuring a family-friendly and inclusive atmosphere. The event was filled with a sporty, friendly spirit deeply rooted in forestry tradition.
All winners in each category received unique wooden diplomas, medals, and prizes from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences and CZU Forests. But no one left empty-handed – every participant received a finisher's medal as a memento of the shared running experience.
Throughout the event, refreshments, hot coffee and tea were available, and after the race, all runners enjoyed a warm lunch in the pleasant surroundings of the Jevany Forest Administration.
The race also had a charitable dimension – the proceeds from the entry fees, which the Faculty matched to a total of 10,000 CZK, were donated to the Sázava Children's Home.
