Lifelong learning

Lifelong learning is a concept involving the process of continuous development of knowledge and skills throughout our lives. It aims to respond to the changing needs of society and the labour market, to support individual development, and to enable people to adapt to new technologies and needs. Lifelong learning is thus key to increasing competitiveness, employability, and fulfilling personal goals.

This is why our Faculty prepares short-term courses on specific topics with the aim of developing the competence and knowledge of experts from forestry and woodworking practice. Participants on each of our courses are issued a micro-certificate valid within the EU upon successful completion.

In 2025, we are planning to open courses with the following focus:

  • Furniture design (full-time form)
  • Modern wooden buildings (full-time form)
  • Sustainable forestry in times of climate change (part-time form)

For more information on individual courses, please contact Mgr. Nikola Řeháková (rehakovan@fld.czu.cz).

Courses are currently available only in Czech.
