A high-vacuum specimen preparation device that makes it easy to prepare samples for imaging and analysis with electron microscopes. It is used for the preparation of thin films (units of nm) of amorphous carbon. It is mainly used for strengthening ultrathin sections for TEM while preserving the contrast of the observed structure.
