QUV UV test chamber (Q-Lab, Cleveland, OH, USA)

The UV chamber is an instrument for coating degradation testing. The test sample is stressed against UV radiation in combination with water stress in the form of spraying and condensation, all at elevated temperature. In the chamber, the samples are sprayed with demineralised water to simulate rain, where degradation products are washed away, temperature shocks and mild mechanical stresses are applied to the samples. In order to optimally simulate the weather, a condensation environment is created as a dew simulator at night in addition to the UV program.
