Elmarco´s Nanospider

This is a device with the help of which spinning can be achieved from the free surface of a polymer solution in a strong electrostatic field. The technology makes it possible to spin not only from a drop of polymer passing through the nozzle into the electric field, but also from the entire thin layer of the polymer solution. This nozzleless technology enables the production of high-quality nanofibrous material. The whole principle of the technology uses a spinning electrode in the shape of a thin string and a moving head to apply the polymer solution along the entire length of the string. Under the influence of a strong electrostatic field, nanofibres are then formed from a thin layer of polymer on the electrode. The advantage of this method is that a small amount of still fresh solution is used for spinning, which is a prerequisite for delaying the parameters of the output material.
