Students of forestry have the opportunity to participate in an international summer school taking place 10–19 May 2026 in Slovakia. The programme is organised by the Technical University in Zvolen in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
The summer school focuses on innovative approaches to close-to-nature forestry and forest management planning. Participants will visit selected forest sites in Slovakia that serve as examples of good practice in close-to-nature silviculture, the management of uneven-aged, natural, and old-growth forests, spatially integrated planning, and multi-criteria optimisation of ecosystem services, including biodiversity assessment.
The programme is delivered in an international learning environment with students from Slovakia, Germany, and Poland and emphasises hands-on experience and practical insight into contemporary forestry approaches.
