The Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences of the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague has received support for a cross-border project entitled Forests of the Giant Mountains - Joint Management in KRNAP and KPN co-financed by the Interreg Czech Republic - Poland 2021 - 2027 programme. The outcome of the project is to unify procedures, transfer experience and evaluate forests in partial aspects of forest ecosystem management. The achievement of target values of species composition depends on the use of suitable genetic material of spruce and fir, and the monitoring of game movement will monitor the spatial activities of game in the context of new external influences.
FLD is working on this project as a project partner together with 2 other partners from the Czech Republic and Poland. The Krkonoše National Park Administration is the project coordinator.
