The aim of the project is to improve the condition of forest ecosystems in the suburban environment and support sustainable tourism by reducing the negative impacts of tourism and strengthening the protection of biodiversity. The project focuses on balancing the recreational use of forests with the protection of natural values and on proposing measures for effective management of tourism. The project is implemented in the area of the Karlovy Vary Spa Forests and Parks in the Karlovy Vary Region, where the proposed measures are aimed at protecting natural habitats, improving their condition and regulating visitor flows in an area with increased recreational pressure.
The project is funded by the Swiss Confederation under the Second Swiss Contribution through the "Sustainable Tourism and Biodiversity Enhancement" Program (Call No. 2 - Small Grant Scheme).
