SOILBIOMASS+ will accelerate Europe’s transition towards sustainable biomass production that improves soil health and climate resilience. The project will co-design, test and validate land management practices, modelling tools and decision-support systems that balance productivity, environmental objectives and socio-economic viability.
Nine living labs and demonstration sites will link the validation of practices, value chains and business cases with improved indicators, scenario modelling and EU-scale mapping. The project will deliver locally adapted approaches to biomass production and soil management, validated monitoring and decision-support tools, and policy recommendations for soil health and the bioeconomy.
