The aim of the project is to meet the milestones set out in Reform 7.4 and to support the revision of existing study programmes, with a view to incorporating topics relating to the green transition, or to the creation of new study programmes and lifelong learning courses, the graduates of which will be equipped with knowledge of green education, and thus a skilled workforce in the dynamically developing fields related to the green transition.
The aim is to transform tertiary education through academic and professional study programmes focused on resilient sustainability and the green transition (‘Green Deal’).
As part of the project, the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences at CZU is developing a new accredited bachelor’s degree programme, ‘Sustainable Forestry and Natural Resource Management’, which prepares students for the effective management of forest resources with a focus on sustainability. Furthermore, FLD CZU is developing new modules within existing degree programmes (‘Forest Management’ and ‘Silvicultural Methods in Forest Management’). Another task for FLD CZU is the development of a lifelong learning course entitled ‘Sustainable Forestry in the Era of Climate Change’. Last but not least, the Faculty is developing strategic partnerships (with Městské lesy Hradec Králové, a.s.).
