Update of the Forestry-typological class. system, including the determination of the expected development of forest vegetation levels with an evaluation of the influence of the meso and microclimate with regard to ongoing clim. changes and their prediction

Name of programme: MZe (NAZV)

Project number: QL24020351

Investigator for FLD: Ing. Tomáš Černý, Ph.D.

Contact person: Ing. Tomáš Černý, Ph.D., cernyt@fld.czu.cz

Implementation period: 03/2024 – 12/2026

The aim of the project is to update the forestry typology system in changing climatic conditions for the needs of economic management of forests. An analysis of the state of the typological system, dynamics and trends of individual climatic elements and selected indices will be carried out, as well as a comparison of selected climatic periods, an evaluation of vegetation measurements according to forest vegetation stages (LVS) from the point of view of microclimate in relation to macroclimate. Furthermore, the analysis of the dynamics of the phenophases of selected tree species, climate-growth relationships across the LVS and the prediction of a possible shift in the altitudinal distribution of forest trees and bioindicatively significant herbs and grasses depending on climate development scenarios. The result will be a methodology, maps and proposals for amendments to related legislation, case studies at cooperating enterprises, publications and a seminar.
