Hydrogel, drones or bark beetle repellent, but also the largest forest fire in the modern history of the Czech Republic, which hundreds of firefighters were extinguishing for three weeks. The future of Czech forests, which have been struggling with the pitfalls of climate change in recent years, is in the hands of Czech practical foresters and scientists. The documentary asks difficult questions regarding the vitality and sustainability of Czech forests and finds answers not only in the world of current scientific discoveries and technologies. The documentary tries to introduce viewers to the job of a forester. At the same time, it aims to present current forestry science findings in a comprehensible way, as they play a key role in the future of our forests. This documentary dedicated to the future of Czech forests was filmed by the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, CZU in Prague together with Czech Television, CZU Forests, Municipal Forests of Hradec Králové, Archbishop's Forests and Estates of Olomouc and the Wood for Life Foundation. Leading scientists talk about the challenges facing Czech forests today and describe technologies that can help them on their way to regaining their vitality. Its premiere, voiced by actor Aleš Háma, was broadcast by Czech Television on ČT2 canal on 21 March, which is the International Forest Day.
