Equipment for testing the flammability of flooring (EN 11925-2, ISO 9239-1)

This part of ISO 9239 is used for all measurements and descriptions of the properties of floor coverings in response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions. This method applies to all types of floor coverings, such as textile carpet, cork, wooden, rubber, and plastic floor coverings as well as coatings. Results obtained by this method reflect the performance of the flooring, including any substrate if used. The results of the test can be affected by modifications to the backing, bonding to a substrate, underlay, or other changes to floor coverings.
