Forest of the Krkonoše Mountains – Joint Management in KRNAP and KPN, a new cross-border project Interreg Czech Republic – Poland, which is led by the Administration of the Krkonoše National Park, has been launched. This project focuses on the unification of procedures, transfer of experience and evaluation of forests in partial aspects of forest ecosystem management. Achieving the target values of species composition will depend on the use of suitable genetic material of spruce and fir. The project will also include the monitoring of game movements, which will monitor the spatial activities of game in the context of new external influences.
The project started in January 2025 and will continue until September 2029. The principal investigator for FLD is Ing. Ing. Jiří Korecký, Ph.D.
