This week, FISC is hosting the International Forestry Quarantine Research Group (IFQRG) Meeting at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
From 28 September to 2 October 2026, researchers and experts from several countries are meeting in Prague to discuss current challenges in forest quarantine, phytosanitary measures and international research supporting the protection of forests from invasive pests.
The programme brings together scientific expertise and practical experience, with discussions focusing on pathways of pest movement, treatment measures, risk reduction and new tools for phytosanitary research.
As part of the meeting, FISC will also host a special FISC Talk on Wednesday, 30 September, featuring Michael Ormsby and Meghan Noseworthy from IFQRG and Dmitrii Musolin from EPPO. The hybrid session will explore how research contributes to international phytosanitary standards and forest protection.
