The regular meeting of the international project OptForest took place at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences CZU in Prague on 17-19 September 2024. It brought together participants from countries such as France, Italy, Romania, Norway, Germany, Spain, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Finland, Slovenia, Denmark, Austria and of course the Czech Republic.
The main focus of this meeting was to inform the participants about the development and implementation of specific objectives and deliverables of the OptForest project and its individual work packages over the past year. The goals and plans for the next year were also mentioned.
The individual partners also contributed their expertise on the conservation and sustainable use of forest genetic resources, modelling future adaptation of trees at different life stages and conduct low-input breeding.
