The Bavarian Office for Forest Seeding and Planting (ASP) and the Austrian Federal Research and Training Centre for Forests, Natural Hazards and Landscape (BFW) were organizing a three days event on seed legislation from 27 - 29 March 2017 in Laufen (Germany). The information about the national seed register, the legislation and the harmonisation of the region of provenances within middle Europe were the main goal of the meeting. The first day with the title Policy worshop on seed legislation was devoted to the provenance regions, their harmonisation and control of forest reproduction material on the European market. The national registers and harmonisation were deeply discussed during the second day. All the project partners lectured for their national databases of reproduction material with exhibition of the individual websites. Communication among the project partners and administration were the main topic of the last day.
The workshop was organized within the project SUSTREE financed by the Operational Program Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE.
