The Leiden Ranking, which compares universities based on publications indexed in the Web of Science database, is published. The results show the scientific performance of an institution. CZU has 8.7% of publications in the top 10% of journals. In the Czech Republic, it is ranked 2nd behind the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.
According to the share of scientific publications in the top decile of the best journals, CZU is the second best in the Czech Republic. FLD has contributed significantly to this, especially thanks to excellent publications in the fields of Agricultural and veterinary sciences and Natural Sciences! In the 2019-2022 evaluation period, FLD had 16% of publications in the top decile. In 2023 it was 22% and even 26% in 2024. All this with a high publication output, with FLD faculty publishing almost 270 outputs per year on Web of Science (1.7 articles per academic staff member) in the last two years. We are proud of our accomplishments and continue on the path to excellence in science!
