The project application CLIMTOOL submitted by the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences on January 25, 2018 to the third call of the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE program successfully passed two phases of evaluation, namely formal control and control of the basic qualification conditions; and thus got to the last third stage of the evaluation which will assess the quality of the project.
If the FFWS succeeded in the third stage of the evaluation, for the period of 2019-2021, it would become the lead partner of a team of top scientific centres in Central Europe, which task would be to develop new methods of forest management and forest protection and their transfer to forestry practice.
The project proposal is directly linked to the successful EXTEMIT-K project, which is now implemented at the FFWS CZU. The implementation of the CLIMTOOL project should involve scientific institutions from Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy and the Czech Republic.
