On 26th and 27th March 2024, the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, in cooperation with the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine and with the support of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), held a donor conference at the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences CZU on the topic „International calls to support the forestry sector in Ukraine“. The forestry sector in Ukraine has suffered significant damage as a result of the ongoing war, so the conference focused on gaining support for the recovery of the sector, particularly through reforestation, equipment procurement, training, and capacity development. The aim was to raise awareness of the urgent needs and support a sustainable future of the forest sector in Ukraine. We are glad that our Faculty could participate in the conference by providing facilities for it.
