The European CEE2ACT project ran from 2022 to 2025 and focused on supporting the transformation of the bioeconomy in Central and Eastern Europe through the development of strategies and action plans for the circular bioeconomy. The proposed measures focused in particular on innovative governance and management models.
The aim of this project was to achieve more informed decision-making processes, social engagement, and innovation based on the practices of partners from contributing countries that already have experience with the application of the bioeconomy, particularly in addressing relevant economic, social, and environmental aspects.
A number of documents were produced during the project. One of the practical tools is e-learning focused on basic knowledge of the bioeconomy.
The e-learning course is available on the project website's learning platform. It offers a comprehensive introduction to the bioeconomy and its practical application. The course is structured into thematic modules that gradually explain key concepts, the principles of the circular bioeconomy, the role of public administration, innovation and stakeholder involvement, and links to sustainable development. Emphasis is placed on linking theoretical foundations with specific examples from European practice.
The e-learning course is intended for a wide range of users, from representatives of public administration and regional authorities to experts and students to interested members of the general public. It is designed as a self-study tool that allows for a flexible pace of study and promotes a better understanding of how the bioeconomy can contribute to addressing current economic, social, and environmental challenges in the Central and Eastern European region.
